This book was good, but nowhere near as heart-stopping as Gone Girl. Perhaps that was the point? I loved the big twist/revelation at the end...did NOT see that one coming! I also loved that the main character was so realistically flawed. It made for an interesting ride!
OMG the ending i mean WOW is there more
I couldn’t put it down
Excellent read. Creepy & exciting. Couldn’t wait to find out who the culprit was - clever twist.
The writing is so tedious and amateur I found physically myself cringing every page or two. I also knew how it was going to end by page 34 when the author basically spells it out for you in bold letters.
I also have to say: Flynn’s copious and irrelevant descriptions of young teenage girls’ body parts really bothered me in this. It took a turn for the bizarre when I realized they weren’t necessary at all for character development, plot, or gaining an understanding of how the narrator thinks—WHY would she be thinking that way literally any time she sees a young girl? They started to sound more like the author speaking and less like the narrator (Camille). You don’t need to describe a girl’s every body part, down to her “downy” “coltish” legs and what kind of bra she’s wearing, every time you introduce one into the scene or refer back to her.
It borders on obsession, and made me embarrassed and uncomfortable for the author.
Great reading! Want to read all her books!
Excellent,could not put it down
I couldn’t stop reading this book. It was very entertaining- so much so that I had to do a quick binge read just to see what happens in the end !!! Highly recommended.
It was a slower read slightly sexual and decisive
