This is a small town romance with great characters. Hannah O'Leary is a nurse who moved back to Iowa to help her dad because he has cancer. She was the chubby nerd in high school and wasn't popular. Dr. Jacob Matthews returned home to buy the small clinic and be a small town doctor. Hannah tutored him in Biology so he could pass. You have small town gossip, mothers trying to force relationships, steamy chemistry and so much more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Family Doctor's Baby, written by Krista Lakes, is a cute, easy read. This is the first book by this author that I have read. The premise of this book was appealing and I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately that was not the case. Hannah, a good girl, has had a crush on bad boy Jacob since high school. She was the chubby, nerdy girl who was pretty much ignored throughout the four years. He was the cool, good-looking boy who rode a motorcycle to school. Hannah is asked to tutor Jacob so he can graduate, and a friendship develops, but then he disappears after graduation. Fast forward ten years, they both return to their small hometown. Hannah is now a nurse, Jacob a doctor, and they end up working in the same clinic. For me, this story was a bit predictable and the writing style felt too simplistic. I found the characters very likable, but somewhat lacking in depth and development. There were some very funny moments, the cupcake breakup being my favorite. The chemistry between Hannah and Jacob fell flat, and the romance was quite repetitious and not impassioned. The angst between the prominent people in this small town and Jacob & Hannah was just completely over the top for me, it just wasn't very realistic. Overall this book was mildly amusing, but not great. Happy Reading ***I kindly received an ARC of this book by way of Booksprout. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.*** I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

By none other than Dr. Jacob Matthews, the town bad boy of her high school years and the boy that captured her heart. Dr. Jacob Matthews, is still as hot and Swoonworthy as he was in high school. But according to the bridge club he is practically engaged to Katie the local celebrity chef. And what relationships the bridge club ladies sanction, let no one put asunder. So when Hannah and Jacob get hot and heavy after a emergency birth at the clinic, they try to stay away from each other. But they just can’t keep their hands off of each other. Will their relationship survive? You will have to read to find out. So what are you waiting for? Get your copy, you are in for a treat. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
