Repetitious, predictable, and not up to Danielle Steele’s previous books. Sorry, and I’m a Danielle Steel fan. This one was disappointing.
This was Danielle Steels best book. It was honest, sad and exciting. It was a book you will be thinking about for a long time.
The history was quite interesting and the closeness of the family pulled everyone together.
I think this is the first Danielle Steel book that brought tears to me. I rate this book a deviate 5 Star.
Loves dogs and books
I’m usually not a fan of Danielle Steele but I may be changing my mind after ready this book. It was really good and “hooked me” from the first paragraph. I enjoyed it very much.
First of all, I am a lifelong Danielle Steel fan. The characters in this latest opus are so real and likable, I absolutely did not want the book to end. I immediately fell in love with Emmanuelle and Jakob and Izzie. I learned a lot about Holocaust survivors sponsored to come to America right after the war. Thank you, Ms. Steel, for your thorough research. I am not kidding when I say that I did not want the book to end!
